5 Habits of a Woman Who Doesn’t Quit- A Review

5 Habits Book, Book review, new release, NIcki Koziarz, author, christian, lifeway, books

As a stay-at-home momma/write-at-home momma, I don’t get too many chances to sit down and read through books very often, but once a month, I purposely carve out time to read at least one book as a part of a blogger program with B&H Publishing.

I am allowed to select one book from this well-respected Christian publisher each month in exchange for a review written on my own site. Because of some transitions in my schedule, I took a couple months off from my involvement in the program, so I was excited to jump back in for the month of March. As I perused the email with the selections, the title 5 Habits of a Woman Who Doesn’t Quit* by Nicki Koziarz caught my eye.

I definitely believed I exemplified characteristics of a go-getter, a woman who doesn’t quit, so I was intrigued to see what this new author had to say about this subject. I would later discover that I needed Nicki’s words of wisdom found in this book!

I had never heard of Miss Koziarz or ever read any of her work, but much to my surprise, for a first time author, she had quite an online following already and it is now quite obvious to me as to why!

Nicki’s conversational style writing makes you feel like you are just hanging out chatting and sipping on a latte, as she tells very personal and vulnerable stories, with a splash of humor.

The humor helps ease the heart “surgery” that the Lord takes you through as Nicki has the reader ask themselves some deep, convicting questions.

My answers to these questions were what revealed to me areas in my life where I am prone to give up, or at least very strongly be tempted to throw in the towel.

Along with personal stories and questions for the reader to ask themselves at the end of each chapter, Nicki also structures her book with the Bible story found in the book of Ruth to map out the five habits. I believe Nicki did a fantastic job explaining the story and using Bible texts for readers who may not be as familiar with the story, making it very easy to understand and helping refresh my mind as well.

I also love how she chose five habits specifically, since the number five in the Bible symbolizes grace. If it wasn’t for God’s grace, none of us would be able to continue this race! (didn’t mean to rhyme, but hey…that’s cool too!)

Even if you feel as if you aren’t a quitter, I think you owe it to yourself to take a deeper look by reading through Nicki’s reflective words. I believe it will help strengthen you to keep going even when life gets tough. Don’t throw in the towel, pretty lady, there is more God has in store for you just around the corner!
